Privacy Statement

We would like to inform you about the latest news and updates from Chrestos, to encourage your ongoing support and prayers.  To do this, Data Protection legislation requires us to obtain your consent.  This consent can be withdrawn by you at any time.

 

If you have an email address, our preference would be to contact you this way in order to save postage costs.  However, we are happy to continue to send by post if you prefer.

 

I give my consent for my name, address, and email address to be held by Chrestos Mission for the purposes stated above.

Chrestos Mission attaches great significance to both protecting and using appropriately the personal information you give to us in order that together we may serve the work of Chrestos Mission among the Karen people.

Under Data Protection legislation the Chrestos Charity Trustees are the Data Controller and can be contacted by emailing the Data Protection Trustee at peterjamesmaycock@gmail.com

Your personal information is stored by us and used for Chrestos Mission related purposes only; these may be legally necessary (for example, where we have claimed Gift Aid, if applicable, on gifts given by you), or they may be administrative (for example, to enable us to register you for an event or send any regular/occasional communications you have requested from us). Without the necessary data we may be unable to provide you with what you request of us.

Your data will be held securely by Chrestos Mission personnel, either in the UK or in other parts of the world where we operate, with appropriate safeguards in place to ensure the security of data, limiting access to only those Chrestos Mission personnel who have a legitimate requirement to access such data.

Your personal information will only be retained by us for meeting the requirements for which it was gathered, after which time it will be deleted from our systems. This will normally occur 2 years after your last active engagement with us.

You have the right to request us to:

1) provide you with details of your personal data that we hold.

2) correct any of your personal data and

3) delete your personal data, subject to any legal or administrative requirements necessitating us retaining that data.

 

If you are concerned about the way your information is being handled, please contact our Data Protection Trustee at peterjamesmaycock@gmail.com. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner if you believe that we are using, retaining or securing your personal data inappropriately.
